Here are a few pictures from downtown Ottawa. We drove 2 hours from Montreal to meet our good friend who recently moved away as well. We had a great day hanging out and touring Byward Market and the Parliament Buildings. Ottawa is simply gorgeous and in many ways reminds me of Victoria.

Welcome to Picton, Ontario! As some may know, the official Beauchamp Gibbon Family Reunion (first of many I hope) was held in Picton at the Jackson Falls Schoolhouse B&B. The two evenings was an amazing experience as it gave us the opportunity to connect with family and explore a lovely part of Canada. Here are two of my favorite shots from my two days in Picton.

Happy Birthday to our little baby! Today, Daisy is 2 years old - all grown up. Daisy had her 2 best friends over for some play time and treats. The 3 had a blast playing tug and fetch in the yard. Then, a duel ensued between Milo and Mr. Jiggs, over Daisy of course - what a heartbreaker she is. Love you Daisy. RB

Pura Vida

Where do I start? Simply, Costa Rica is amazing! In Costa Rica, they have a saying, Pura Vida - pure life. Costa Rica is pure beauty and relaxation. As you can see, wildlife is in abundance in Costa Rica. We saw so many different types of wildlife, including crocodiles. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back in a few years.

Today, is easily one of the happiest days of my life. I must admit that I underestimated the range of emotion I would experience. The day started out with a lovely card from my wife which she had left for me to read in the morning. After reading the card, I started to cry and realized that trying to hold back tears of joy would be impossible. The day was magical. I will never forget how beautiful Ashley looked as she approached me. The feeling will stay with me forever. RB

Seattle

This weekend we visited Seattle for a surprise birthday. Jill, our good friend, planned a surprise birthday getaway in Seattle for her partner, Ryan. The big surprise also included a baseball game at Safeco Field - a first for us. Aside from the game, we also managed a trip to Pike Street Market and of course, numerous drinks.

One More Time...Please

Today, we took Daisy to the dog park to play off leash. She had a blast running around and chasing other puppies. At one point, she was running so fast that she wiped out along the grass. As you can imagine, Daisy is exhausted right now and sleeping on the couch. RB

Today, we had our engagement shoot with our photographer, Karen McNeil. The day was lovely for pictures with amazing colour and texture in the backdrop. We even included our newest addition to the family, Daisy. We are very happy with the result and highly recommend Karen. RB

Saying Goodbye

Today, we said goodbye to our precious Sookee. She was in peace until the end and surrounded by those who loved her. At the end, she seemed to smile as she entered the next phase in her journey. RB

Today, we did the Paws for a Cause walk along Dallas Road. Daisy had a great time playing with all the puppies and even enjoyed the walk too despite the heat. We think Daisy looks adorable in her bandanna. Enjoy. RB

18 Pounds

Jill and Ryan invited us fishing today in their new boat. We had a great time relaxing on the ocean. Then, the fishing rod started shaking and Ryan thrust into action. The end result - a lovely 18 pound spring salmom. Yummy! RB

This weekend we attended a lovely outdoor wedding. I had the pleasure of doing the photography during the ceremony. I think the photos turned out well considering this was my first wedding shoot. Enjoy! RB

This is our new home at the drywall stage. The home is actually starting to come together. We can't believe we have to move in less than two months! As you may remember, our condo was delayed nearly a year. Let's hope this one finishes on time. Enjoy! RB

We took Daisy for a walk along the Equimalt Lagoon. She enjoyed the sand and ocean very much. We had to put a sweater on her because it was getting a little chilly for our little girl. I think she likes her sweater! RB

Our New Home

Welcome to our new home! We've decided to sell our condo and buy a house. The house is located in a quiet development nestled in the trees. We look forward to raising Daisy and starting a family here someday. Our move in date is October 31, 2007. We'll see you at the house warming! RB

Daisy is becoming a great addition to our family. She plays quite well with the dogs in our family. Daisy loves visiting Sookee and giving her a run for her money. Daisy even loves Dex depsite the huge size difference. The two together are pure cuteness. Enjoy! RB

A Puppy Is Born

Viva Las Vegas

Vegas. Many people go for the gambling and nightlife, but we go for the racing! The smell of rubber and fuel is intoxicating. The feel of 43 cars going by at 180 MPH is heart-pounding. We enjoyed the experience so much that we want to go back next year. We also enjoyed the strip by seeing two Cirque Du Soleil shows. I hope you enjoy the pictures. RB

Today, I am the happiest man alive. I asked my precious Ashley to be my wife. The evening started with a wonderful dinner at the Old English Inn. Ashley thought we were meeting our good friends visiting from Australia. Little did she know I had been planning this evening for months. After our drinks arrived, I got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry me. Summer 2008 - mark it down! RB

I could not be any happier! Rob completely caught me off guard with his romantic proposal. He had every detail organized, even the entire restaurant was in on it! We had champagne and a beautiful candle lit dinner completely closed off from the rest of the restaurant. My ring...I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing this ring is. Rob designed it himself, he even has the sketches. It’s been custom made and has no mold so no one will ever have this exact ring. I am so unbelievably happy.
